Marriott Inner Harbour is pleased to announce the executive appointments
of Angela Rafuse-Tahir to Director of Marketing & Sales and Andrew
Dickinson to Restaurant Chef, Fire & Water Fish and Chop House.
Angela Rafuse-Tahir brings several years of hotel experience to the Victoria Marriott including various sales, revenue management & operations positions at Westin, Sheraton, Shangri-La, and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, (formerly Canadian Pacific Hotels). Ms. Rafuse-Tahir has been educated at Cornell University, B.C.I.T, the University of Prince Edward Island and most notably, revenue management training from Buckhiester Management. Angela has spent the past 15 years in Vancouver with her most recent tenures at the award winning Westin Grand, Vancouver & the former Shangri-La�s Pacific Palisades. She is delighted to be on beautiful Vancouver Island at Canada�s #1 rated Marriott Hotel. Born & raised in Victoria, BC, Andrew Dickinson started cooking at the age of thirteen. He apprenticed at the Grand Pacific before touring Bermuda & London, England. Andrew returned to Victoria to work as Sous Chef at the Victoria Golf Club, Executive Chef at Hugo�s Bar & Grill in the Magnolia Hotel & Spa, and finally reining at the Victoria Marriott�s Fire & Water Fish and Chop House as Restaurant Chef. Cooking is, quite simply, Andrew's passion -- combining a love for simplicity and purity with his team and the food that is created. Andrew believes, �good food is not just based on the Chef; it's about a good team that trusts his judgement." The Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour is jointly owned by British Columbia based Concert Properties and Florida based Ocean Properties, and managed by Ocean�s Canadian division Atlific Hotels and Resorts, which has its head office in Montreal and manages eight other Marriott branded hotels in Canada. |
