Greg Dogan Appointed Vice President, 
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts

Hong Kong, June 17, 2005 - Asia Pacific's leading luxury hotel group, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, has appointed Greg Dogan as vice president.

Based in Shanghai, Dogan is responsible for nine of the group's 19 mainland China hotels, ensuring that these properties meet their financial performance targets and comply with corporate operational standards. In addition, he oversees four new hotel projects in Chengdu, Xian, Shenzhen and Ningbo in mainland China.

Prior to his current appointment, Dogan was the area manager and general manager based at Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian.  Previously, he was resident manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. He joined Shangri-La in 1997 as executive assistant manager of Mactan Island Resort, Cebu.

Dogan, a graduate of Westminster Hotel Management Institute and Dover College in the UK, held senior management positions at luxury hotels in Spain, Dubai, and China before he joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific's leading luxury hotel group, currently manages 47 hotels under the five-star Shangri-La and four-star Traders Hotels brands, with a rooms inventory of over 21,000.  The group has over 30 projects under development in Canada, mainland China, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
