 Patricia Steinmetz Promoted to Director of Food & Beverage
Services at The Thayer Hotel 
.
West Point, NY  (August 2005) Patricia Steinmetz of Fort Montgomery, NY has recently been promoted to Director of Food & Beverage Services at the historic Thayer Hotel at West Point.  

Ms. Steinmetz began her career at the Thayer Hotel more than 20 years ago as a waitress, working in the dining room from 1983 to 1995.  During that time, from 1994 to 1995, she also managed the Stateline and Alpine Lookout in New Jersey.  In 1995, she was promoted to Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, and in 1999, she became the Assistant Banquet Manager.  One year later, she was promoted to Banquet Manager.

Ms. Steinmetz attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, where she majored in Interior Design.  She and her husband Lee have three children, Courtney, Amanda and Lee Jr.
 
Built in 1926, the Thayer Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the only full-service hotel on the Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge to Albany, New York.  The Thayer offers 154 guest rooms, 10 banquet rooms, a restaurant, and lounge.  

Over the years, the Thayer has hosted a wide range of dignitaries and celebrities including General Tommy Franks, General Douglas MacArthur, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, President John F. Kennedy, Her Royal Highness Princess Alsha Bint-Huessen of Jordan, singer Luciano Pavarotti, actors George C. Scott and Gregory Peck, the Philadelphia Flyers, the cast of  �The Sopranos� and many others.
