MEMPHIS, Tenn., August, 3, 2005Hampton, the national brand of more than 1,300 mid-priced Hampton Inn® and Hampton Inn & Suites® hotels, has opened nine properties in July 2005-- representing 682 new rooms. The nine new openings include six Hampton Inn hotels and three Hampton Inn & Suites. All openings are franchised, newly constructed hotels. In addition to the new openings, Hampton also broke ground on nine new hotels in the past month.

"The brand continued to grow its presence in the western United States this month by opening three hotels west of the Mississippi," said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton Brand Management.

"Adding to the excitement of our nine new openings is that each hotel is implemented with new innovative standards set by the Hampton brand and referred to as Make it Hampton, which include: complimentary hot breakfast, complimentary high-speed Internet access, high quality bedding, upgraded interiors and the consistent friendly service experience that has made the brand a segment leader," added Cordell.
