The $100+ million 401 suite Great Wolf Lodge at 
Paramount's Kings Island Now Under Construction

MASON, Ohio - Aug. 18, 2005--Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. held an official groundbreaking ceremony today, commemorating construction of the $100+ million family resort destination being built adjacent to Paramount's Kings Island. The four-story, log-sided, northwoods themed resort is scheduled to open in late 2006. 

Once complete, the 401-suite Great Wolf Lodge will feature a gigantic, year-round, indoor waterpark standing 90-feet tall from floor to ceiling. The 84-degree waterpark will house six pools, a four-story interactive treehouse waterfort with a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket at the top, and 11 waterslides with the latest trends in water attractions including a water roller coaster ride and a cannon bowl tube ride.

"Great Wolf Lodge will be a first-class, year-round destination with one of the world's largest indoor waterparks, located next to the world's #1 seasonal theme park," said Kim Schaefer, chief operating officer for parent company, Great Wolf Resorts. The resort amenities will also include two themed family restaurants; an Aveda(R) Concept Spa; children's craft and activity room; 100-game arcade with ticket redemption center; fitness room; confectionery cafe; gift shop and a 40,000 square-foot conference facility. 

Great Wolf Lodge plans to be fully integrated with Paramount's Kings Island through connecting tram service, cross-promotions and special combination resort/theme park packages. The synergy between the lodge and the theme park is expected to enhance visitor entertainment options and convenience, increasing overall visitor satisfaction and value.
