Management for the Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts Americas Division |

Miami, FL - May 4, 2005 - Guido Salvatori has been appointed Director
of Revenue Management for the Americas Division, announced Ron Roy, vice
president of marketing and distribution, Sol Meliá Hotels &
Resorts - The Americas. Salvatori will develop and oversee all revenue
management standards, including data collection and policies & procedures.
Salvatori will support all hotels in the Americas division to maximize revenues via strategic pricing and market mix, including the monitoring of competitive pricing and demand patterns in the various markets. His responsibilities will include reviewing each hotel�s pricing strategy among all market segments and distribution channels as well as inventory control to ensure optimal utilization of available inventory. �In this competitive market it is extremely important to ensure a strategic pricing approach,� said Roy. �Guido brings in a wealth of knowledge that will help us maximize our revenues and increase our share in each market.� Prior to joining Sol Meliá, Salvatori worked in a similar capacity for Starwood Hotel & Resorts at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel & Towers in Mexico City and the Sheraton Lisboa in Portugal. Prior to that he worked for the Intranet/Portal Company Workjoy in London, England as Director of Hotel Development. Salvatori is a graduate of Cornell University with a Master of Management in Hospitality. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
