Scott Flexman Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing
for Lansdowne Resort in Lansdowne, Virginia

THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS, May 2005... Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Scott Flexman as director of sales and marketing for Lansdowne Resort, the AAA Four Diamond resort located in Lansdowne, Virginia, just 35 miles outside of Washington, D.C.  The announcement was made by Gerard Dumont, vice president and general manager for the resort.

In his new role at Lansdowne, Mr. Flexman will lead the sales and marketing programming for the renowned resort, which is currently undergoing an estimated $55 million renovation and expansion program. 

Flexman joins Benchmark with over 25 years of hospitality experience, most recently serving as vice president of sales and marketing at the prestigious Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida. 

Prior to his employment at Boca, Mr. Flexman was director of sales and marketing at the 1,300 room Caribe Royale Resorts Suites and Villas in Orlando, Florida.  He started his hotel career with Stouffer Renaissance Hotels, serving as director of national accounts at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells, California, and director of sales & marketing at the Renaissance Orlando Resort.

Lansdowne Resort (www.lansdowneresort.com) is the capital region's premier full-service resort and executive conference facility.  Managed by Benchmark Hospitality, the Resort is located eight miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 35 miles from Washington, DC.  The 305-room property is set on 205 acres of secluded countryside.  Amenities include an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr., championship golf course, health club and spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, three lighted tennis courts and four restaurants and lounge.  A second championship course, designed by Greg Norman, will open in July of 2005.
