Rim Hospitality Adds 1,411 Rooms,
Now Managing 28 Hotels

.

May 2, 2005 - Rim Hospitality ended the first quarter with the addition of 1,411 rooms, bringing its total under management to approximately 4000 rooms, 28 properties.  This expansion in the California based firms portfolio came from a combination of acquisition, development projects, and third party management agreements, according to Mark Burden, President.  We are very pleased with the expansion of more full service properties to our portfolio.  With the addition of almost 800 rooms, Rim has significantly increased its management capabilities with regards to managing larger full-service properties, Burden noted.  The 489-room Sheraton Anaheim was the largest of the new properties.

Mark LeBlanc, Vice President of Development added, With over 4000 rooms under current management and another 1000 rooms being added this next quarter, Rim has significantly increased its presence as a premier management company.  The fact that we have boutique, full service and limited service properties puts us in an excellent position with owners and developers.

"We now have a full time person to walk owners through the development process," said Burden. This allowed us to enter into three new construction projects so far this year.  Norman Rosenblatt, Vice President, now devotes full time to the development of new properties.  Norm can take a first time owner thru the entire process of entitlements, permits, design, franchise selection and financing.  He has 26 years of experience and knows the challenges with new development. "Our ability to manage the project before, during and after opening makes us a good fit for a wide variety of owners."  In this process Rosenblatt works closely with Jim Burden, Sr. Vice President in charge of construction.

LeBlanc also noted that an essential element in Rims growth has been its relationship with the major hotel franchise companies.  By understanding the strategies and goals of Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Carlson and IHG, and by internally developing the tactics to implement those strategies, we have been able to bring the value of these relationships to owners and developers, said LeBlanc.

Rim Hospitality manages full service, select service, resort and boutique properties affiliated with national brands including Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and Residence Inn by Marriott, Sheraton, Radisson, Holiday Inn, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Best Western, as well as luxury boutique hotels.
