The Historic Cornhusker Hotel
Becomes a Marriott

WASHINGTON April 26, 2005 Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the Cornhusker Hotel, in Lincoln, Neb., has been re-flagged as The Cornhusker A Marriott Hotel.  The 297-room property is located at 333 South 13th Street and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Shubh Hotels and managed by Innkeepers Hospitality.

Were delighted to be a part of the Marriott family of hotels, and we look forward to welcoming our past guests and introducing new visitors to this prestigious hotel with its rich history, said Robert Fabiano, general manager, The Cornhusker A Marriott Hotel.

The original Cornhusker Hotel was built in 1926 and has been a fixture in the Lincoln community for over 75 years.  In 1982, the original Cornhusker was imploded, rebuilt and reopened in December 1983.  The lone links from the original Cornhusker to the one that stands today are the 26 Corn Maiden figures that grace the atriums interior.  The hotel features Georgian architecture, lavishly colored décor, hand-painted murals, a grand staircase in the lobby and unique saw tooth windows on the buildings exterior.

The hotel recently completed a comprehensive $8 million renovation, and all guest rooms have been completely refurbished with a fresh, residential feel.  The Terrace Grille restaurant, public space, meeting space and business center have also been updated, and a new fitness center and 10th floor concierge level have also been added.

The Cornhusker is among the first hotels in the country to feature Marriotts new, more luxurious bedding with plusher mattresses, softer sheets, more pillows, and a new, fresh, white look.  Replacing the traditional hotel bedspread is a down comforter nestled inside a sheeted duvet, which will be freshly laundered for each new guest.  Mattresses are thicker and more comfortable with the addition of a two- to four-inch mattress topper, and the 300-thread-count, cotton-rich, white top and fitted bottom sheets are among the finest and softest sheets of any global hotel chain.  The stylized bedding is accented with euroshams, a decorative bed scarf and a bolster.

As part of the renovation, guest room bathrooms have been enhanced with new fixtures and flooring, as well as granite countertops for a more upscale, homelike feel.  Other in-room amenities include a 27 television with cable TV and pay-per-view movies, a work desk with ergonomic desk chair, high-speed wireless internet access, telephone with data port and speaker phone, voice mail, hair dryer, coffee and tea service, and iron and ironing board.  Also available is a concierge level with upgraded amenities and a concierge lounge serving continental breakfast and offering an evening reception with cocktails.

Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, The Cornhusker is within walking distance of many area attractions, including the State Capitol building, the University of Nebraska, Lied Center of Performing Arts, and the historic Haymarket district, featuring a myriad of restaurants and shopping destinations.  Lincoln Municipal Airport is approximately 15 minutes away. The Cornhusker, in conjunction with the adjoining Burnham Yates Conference Center, offers 46,000 square feet of event space and 22 flexible meeting rooms, including the 10,545-square-foot Grand Ballroom.

The hotels restaurant, Terrace Grille, featuring contemporary American cuisine, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; the Five Reasons Lounge, with a casual yet sophisticated ambience, serves cocktails and signature martinis; the Terrace Espresso serves Starbucks coffee, pastries and bagels.

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, INC. (NYSE:MAR) is a leading lodging company with more than 2,600 lodging properties in the United States and 65 other countries and territories.
