Marketing for the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort
& Spa in New Mexico
|Santa Ana Pueblo, NM (June 2, 2005) – Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort &
Spa announces the appointment of Nina Santellanes to the position of director
of sales and marketing. Santellanes will oversee the transient and
group sales teams, as well as the marketing efforts for the 350-room resort,
which offers ample meeting space to accommodate any size group. The
Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa is located on a Native American reservation
between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“This resort is helping put New Mexico on the destination vacation map and I’m delighted to now be a part of it,” said Santellanes. “Our resort has great potential to further attract both transient and group business through its unique location on Santa Ana Pueblo’s reservation.”
Previous to her new position, Santellanes was formerly the director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in Coral Gables, Florida. She is a 21-year veteran of the hospitality industry with a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Northern Arizona University. Santellanes has been with Hyatt Corporation for eight years, working in sales positions at the Hyatt Regency Miami and Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas.
The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa is located on 500 acres of the Santa Ana’s reservation adjacent to the Sandia Mountains along the Rio Grande River, 20 minutes from Albuquerque and 40 minutes from Santa Fe. Along with it’s unique cultural environment offering traditional pueblo bread baking demonstrations and tribal dance performances, Tamaya also features its full-service Tamaya Mist full-service spa; 18-hole championship Twin Warriors Golf Club; tennis courts; Tamaya Cultural Museum and Learning Center; a children’s program, Camp Tamaya; and a family program, called Srai-Wi (meaning “to gather children together and share with them” in the Santa Ana Pueblo’s native language).
