First PAR customer to contract for implementation
of PAR's complete hospitality solution -Software, Hardware and Life Cycle
services
New Hartford, NY - March 31, 2005 - PAR Springer-Miller
Systems Inc. (PSMS) - the leading provider of guest-centric hospitality
management solutions- is pleased to announce that Windmill Point Resort
and Yacht Harbor is the first property to select PAR's integrated property
management solution as the system of choice for its property in White
Stone, Virginia. This system includes the industry leading SMS|Host
Hospitality Management System applications, PAR hardware platforms to be
utilized onsite at the customer's retail outlets and PAR's lifecycle support
services.
By
selecting PAR's integrated solution customers now have a one stop/call
service capability for their complete solution needs versus the alternative
of buying software from one provider, hardware from another and service
from even a third. PSMS will resolve all issues with one simple call.
In addition, the PAR hardware, with its outstanding reliability over the
common PC, will provide a solution which has a life cycle cost significantly
less than the common two box PC solution found in many retail outlets in
hospitality. This win is proof of PAR's strategy in acquiring Springer-Miller
Systems in 2004. That strategy was to sell the Company's traditional
hospitality products (point-of-sale (POS) hardware and services) into PSMS'
core markets of Hotels/Resorts and Spas.
Windmill Point Resort will also install several
of PAR Springer-Miller's optional modules at their location including SMS|Retail
Point-of-Sale, Owner Fulfillment, Membership Management, Multi-Property
Management, Activities Management, Spa/Resort Scheduling, SMS|Tickets,
and SMS|World for internet booking.
Located on the Chesapeake Bay, the Resort consists
of 52 waterfront rooms, a 160-slip marina, 2 restaurants, a resort club,
lodge, amphitheater and condominium development on a 55-acre island. Each
room in the beach front inn opens onto its own balcony or patio with comfortable
island style outdoor furniture for enjoying the island's views. The property
is slated to open in April 2005.
