Giulia Racchi Named Senior Group Sales Manager of
Westminster Hotel in Livingston, New Jersey

April 13, 2005 - Westminster Hotel, a Four-Diamond luxury hotel in Livingston, New Jersey, has appointed Giulia Racchi as senior group sales manager, announced Michael Polese, the hotel’s general manager.

Since opening in January of 2003, Westminster Hotel has earned several significant distinctions, including the elite AAA Four-Diamond rating, and the 2004 Facility of the Year award from Meeting Planners International (MPI) – New Jersey Chapter. The hotel also received first-place honors in Lodging Hospitality’s Annual Design Competition, and its Strip House restaurant has earned a three-star rating from Crain’s New York and three and one-half stars from The Star-Ledger.

Giulia Racchi of Monsey, New York, has been named senior group sales manager at Westminster Hotel, a Four-Diamond luxury hotel in Livingston, New Jersey.

“The caliber of this property and its unique style makes a perfect fit for the kinds of corporate clients with whom I work and whose needs have become familiar to me during my many years in the industry,” said Racchi. She has been in hotel sales throughout New Jersey since 1992 and worked on the operations side of hotel management prior to that.

A resident of Monsey, New York, Racchi was part of the first sales team for the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in Jersey City and served as individual travel sales manager. She held the position of director of sales and marketing for Doubletree Club Suites, also in Jersey City, and was corporate groups/business travel sales manager for the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah. She also held a senior sales position with the Holiday Inn in Secaucus, and was sales manager for National Sports Marketing Office at Embassy Suites Hotels in Parsippany, New Jersey.

“Giulia brings with her a wealth of experience in the marketplace that is a great asset to our sales team,” said Marissa Hoppe, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Her relationships with travel planners and corporate leaders enhance our ability to reach out to a broader base of corporate accounts.”

According to Polese, the hotel also places an emphasis on hiring individuals of varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds. “The staff is representative of the many people who stay at the hotel. I believe the guests feel more comfortable because they see themselves reflected in the staff.”

“The Westminster Hotel has been rated as one of the finest in the country, and our list of corporate guests is growing dramatically, year over year,” Polese added. “Giulia’s experience and expertise will greatly enhance our service to these corporate groups.” Westminster Hotel features 187 luxury guest rooms, 15,000 square feet of meeting/conference and banquet space with up-to-date technology, a 120-seat restaurant and a full range of first-class amenities that cater to the unique needs of today’s traveler. Designed in a contemporary style, Westminster Hotel successfully combines luxurious lodging and banquet conveniences with sophisticated meeting and event accommodations. In addition, a refined mix of amenities has been specially designed for the comfort and convenience of corporate and destination guests.
