Benchmark Appoints Marina De Jesus Director of
Human Resources at Cheyenne Mountain Resort

THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS, April 2005 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Marina De Jesus to the position of director of human resources for Cheyenne Mountain Resort, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.   Laura Neumann, vice president and general manager of the 316-guestroom resort, made the announcement.

Ms. De Jesus brings to her new role a rich background in travel, academia, and hospitality human resources, gained at organizations located in the United States and Mexico.

Previously, De Jesus was corporate director of human resources for the Hotel Valencia Corporation, based in San Antonio, Texas.  In this role, she oversaw the HR function of five hotels located in Texas and California.  Prior to this, she served as human resources director for Hilton / Embassy Suites, located in San Antonio.  De Jesus has also previously been an educator, a travel agent for over a decade, and at one time owned and operated a travel agency.  Ms. De Jesus has held positions in Risk Management and Loss Prevention while serving as a safety officer.

Marina De Jesus is fluent in Spanish and English and is currently studying French.  She has been active in community affairs in each market in which she has worked and lived.  When at Hotel Valencia in San Antonio, the property received the Hospy Award for community involvement with her active participation.

De Jesus has earned several certifications from San Antonio College, including Professional in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Generalist, Instructional Systems Designer, Training Manager and OSHA Standards for General Industry.  She has relocated to Colorado Springs.
