LA QUINTA RECOGNIZES ATLANTA AREA HOTEL FOR QUALITY 

The La Quinta Corporation recognized general manager Nick Patel and the staff at the La Quinta Inn & Suites-Stockbridge (GA) as the recipients of the company’s award for outstanding quality. 
 

Quality control inspectors visit each hotel in the La Quinta system, company-owned and franchised alike, several times a year.  These inspectors travel to each hotel, reviewing every process and item related to guest satisfaction. The La Quinta Inn & Suites-Stockbridge received the award based on its outstanding average scores from each inspection throughout the year. In fact, the Stockbridge hotel was also honored for receiving the best quality control score in the company’s history.

The 71-room, four-story La Quinta Inn & Suites-Stockbridge is located southeast of the Atlanta area, just minutes from Turner Field, the Georgia Dome and Atlanta Motor Speedway at 3581 Cameron Parkway. This property features free high-speed Internet access, onsite business and fitness centers as well as an indoor heated pool.

LA QUINTA RECOGNIZES 2004 FRANCHISEES OF THE YEAR 

The La Quinta Corporation recognized Baymont franchise owners Jane Dougherty and Nancy Hyam and La Quinta franchise owner Apple Core Hotels and Vijay Dandapani as the recipients of the company’s 2004 Franchisee of the Year awards. 

The 2004 Baymont Franchisee of the Year award recipients are sisters Jane Dougherty and Nancy Hyam. They are deeply committed to the Baymont brand, with Ms. Dougherty currently serving as chairperson of the Baymont franchise advisory council.  Ms. Hyam is so well versed in running her Baymont hotels that she is often called upon to assist other Baymont properties with their openings.  As the owners of Baymont hotels in Sullivan, MO and Lichtfield, IL, this successful team provided vital assistance throughout the transition process following La Quinta’s acquisition of the Baymont brand, going so far as to help organize regional franchise meetings to provide a forum for Baymont franchisees and La Quinta management to discuss issues and growth plans for the brand.

The 2004 La Quinta Franchisee of the Year award recipients are Apple Core Hotels and Vijay Dandapani.  Apple Core Hotels owns multiple midscale brands, with a heavy concentration of properties in the greater Manhattan area. Apple Core converted one of its hotels in midtown Manhattan to the La Quinta flag in December of 2002 and now almost three years later, the La Quinta Inn – Manhattan generates the highest RevPAR in the entire La Quinta system.  A member of the La Quinta franchise advisory council, Mr. Dandapani has given his time and energy to help promote the La Quinta brand in the northeast.  Based on the performance of its Manhattan La Quinta, Apple Core is currently developing the new 132-room La Quinta Inn-Islip near the Macarthur Airport in Long Island, New York.

LA QUINTA HONORS PROPERTIES WITH INN OF THE YEAR AWARDS 

The La Quinta Corporation announces the La Quinta Inn & Suites-Clovis (NM), the Baymont Inn & Suites-Tucson Green Valley (AZ), the Baymont Inn & Suites-Plattsburgh (NY) and the La Quinta Inn & Suites-Dallas Addison Galleria (TX) as the recipients of the company’s 2004 Inn of the Year awards.  The award recognizes the top franchise and corporate-owned Baymont and La Quinta-branded properties within the company’s system of more than 590 hotels. Each property was recognized for the prestigious award for excelling in several categories, including revenue performance, overall quality control scores and guest satisfaction.

The 66-room, three-story La Quinta Inn & Suites-Clovis is located just minutes from Cannon Air Force Base, Plains Regional Medical Center, and Eastern New Mexico University at 4521 N. Prince St.  This all-suites property, owned by Premier Hospitality and managed by Imesh Vidaya, features an onsite business center, meeting space for 100 people, as well as onsite fitness facilities, including an indoor pool and spa. 

The 55-room, two-story Baymont Inn & Suites-Tucson Green Valley is owned by Frank Bertolino and managed by Ed Markert.  Located just minutes from metropolitan Tucson, this hotel features a sparkling outdoor heated pool and spa, an onsite fitness center and meeting space for up to 15 people.
