April 1, 2005 - June Ericson has been promoted to Senior Associate
at J/Brice Design International, Inc., one of the nation¹s leading
interior design firms specializing in the hospitality Industry worldwide.
Ericson, became qualified by the National Council of Interior Design Qualification in1981. She has managed multi-million dollar renovation and new construction projects where she was responsible for design and architecture as well as Fixtures, Furniture, and Equipment (FF&E) selection and specification, construction documents, and construction supervision. As a key member of the J/Brice team, Ericson has overseen new construction and renovation projects for major flag hotels including Marriott Hotels and resorts in Newport RI, Marco Island FL, Ypsilanti, MI, and Springfield and Cambridge, MA, The Renaissance Hotel in Bedford, MA; Hyatt Regency hotels in Tampa, FL & Bethesda, MD; and Sheraton Hotels in Smithtown and Syracuse, NY. Doubletree Guest Suites Hotels in Boston, Waltham and Nashville; Hilton Hotels in Boston Back Bay, Logan International, Woodcliff Lake and Woodbridge, NJ, Holiday Inn properties in Montvale, NJ and Plantation, FL. Overseas, her J/Brice client responsibilities have included Taj Hotel group properties at The Admiral Plaza Hotel and in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and The Malibu Restaurant at the Tata National Theatre Opera House Restaurant in Mumbai, India Her work with developers include the Druker Company¹s, The Colonnade Hotel, The Waterfront Condominiums with the Fallon Company and The Mercer at Reston Square with the JBG Companies. Prior to joining J/Brice Design, Ericson was a principal of DesignOvation in Boston whose projects included the Prudential Towers, Fidelity, The Boston Co., Bank of New England and luxurious private homes in Boston¹s suburbs. In addition to her design and management experience, Ericson possesses technical knowledge stemming from her role as Manager of CAD System Sales Support Department at Resource Dynamics, Inc. Earlier, Ericson was a Senior Space Planner with Peter McLaughlin & Assoc., Inc., where she managed the design of banking facilities in international office towers for The Central Bank of Barbados, Banco De Venezuela, Banco Mercantile y Agricola, First National Bank of Houston, as well as in Chile, Argentina and Kuwait. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Cum Laude Distinction from the University of Dayton, OH, in 1974 where she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau Honor Society. She also holds a degree in Interior Design from Chamberlayne Junior College in 1975. Continuing education includes studies at Boston Architectural Center, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. Additionally she became a Certified Contract Interior Designer in 1988 under the auspices of the National Governing Board of Interior Design. She was also Annual Design Award Recipient, Restaurant and Institutions Design magazine for her work with the John Hancock Tower in Boston and a finalist in Lodging Hospitality¹s luxury suite competition in 1997 for suites in the Back Bay Hilton. Ericson has served on the Boards of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality and the Institute of Business Designers where she received the 1986 Appreciation Award for exceptional contribution by a professional member.
