A resident of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Nizam has more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined the Westminster staff as revenue manager in December 2002, just as the hotel was about to open. Prior to that, he served as front office manager for the Rihga Royal Hotel and director of front office operations for the Holiday Inn Broadway, both in New York. He also spent eleven years at Le Parker Meridien in New York, working his way up to the position of front office manager. In addition, Nizam has used his knowledge and professional experience in the lodging industry to teach courses at New York City Technical College in Brooklyn.

“Issam has been with us since the Westminster Hotel first opened its doors and has proven himself to be a results-oriented executive with a strong record as a manager and supervisor,” Polese noted. “This is a well-deserved promotion.”

In his new position, Nizam is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the rooms division, overseeing the staff of full- and part-time professionals whose commitment and attention to detail create a high-level service experience for guests.
