 Crestline Appoints Carol Simon as General Manager
for the New Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference
Center, Staunton, VA

MCLEAN, Va., April 11, 2005 - Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc.  today announced the appointment of Carol Simon to the position of General Manager for the new Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center, Staunton, VA. 

The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center is a historic property located in Staunton, in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.  Named for General Stonewall Jackson, the hotel originally opened in 1924.  The property, which is owned by the Persinger family and Armada Hoffler, is undergoing a complete renovation and expansion to historically preserve its charm while providing modern guest amenities, accommodations and services. The architecturally significant hotel was originally designed by architect H.L. Stevens.

Ms. Simon, a 19 year veteran with Crestline Hotels & Resorts, was formerly General Manager at the 134 guest room Brasstown Valley Resort, an upscale, full-service destination resort and conference center, in the North Georgia Mountains.  Her extensive hospitality industry career spans more than 25 years and includes management positions with the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place, the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, the Berkeley Marina Marriott and Holiday Inn Hotels.

The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center

The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center is located at 24 South Market Street in Staunton, VA, in the heart of the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley.  It is within walking distance to Staunton's historic Main Street, five Historic Districts, The Blackfriars Playhouse, Woodrow Wilson's Birthplace and Museum, Mary Baldwin College, and is in close proximity to area golf.  At the crossroads of I-64 and I-81, the Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center is a scenic drive from all directions including Richmond, VA, Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA.  It is also regularly served by AMTRAK.
