SAN FRANCISCO (March 23, 2005) – Elias Assaly, general
manager of the St. Regis Hotel & Residences, San Francisco, has
announced the appointment of Lilian Wagner as director of sales and
marketing for the new 40-story landmark comprising a 260-room luxury
hotel and 102 private residences. The hotel and residences,
representing the first St. Regis property in San Francisco, are
scheduled to open in September 2005 amid the year-long 100th
anniversary celebration of the fabled St. Regis Hotel, New York,
founded by Col. John Jacob Astor.
“With her sterling reputation, intuitive appreciation of guest
services, and extensive experience at the city’s finest hotels, we are
confident that Lilian will be the perfect ambassador not only for the
St. Regis, but for this spectacular city,” said Assaly.Wagner’s credentials cover more than two decades in the hospitality industry and include consulting work for the Carlyle Hotel in New York as well as tenures as director of marketing at San Francisco’s Ritz-Carlton and Park Hyatt. “St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has long been famous for its culture of excellence in service,” said Wagner. “To be part of the St. Regis team is the ultimate achievement for any hotelier, and I am especially excited about the opportunity to help bring the foremost luxury hotel name in the world to San Francisco at such a relevant time for the market.” St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco will include 201 guest rooms, averaging 450 square feet, and 59 suites ranging in size from 700 to more than 3,200 square feet, as well as a total of more than 15,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 400-seat ballroom and 12 meeting rooms. An outdoor terrace provides dramatic streetscape views and a reception capacity of 600. |
