Atlific Hotels and Resorts adds to Portfolio of Hotels

TORONTO, ONTARIO - March 10, 2005 - Toronto Airport area and Marriott celebrate the opening of a new hotel, the $16 Million Residence Inn by Marriott at Toronto Airport, John Dunn, vice president Sales & Marketing of Atlific Hotels and Resorts, announced today. The hotel opened and received its first guests on March 7, 2005 with Marriott Canada, Atlific Hotels & Resorts, and Ocean Properties Ltd. represented.

“It’s fantastic to see another Marriott in the airport area”, Dunn said, adding that “this will be the first Residence Inn in the area, and will be the first Residence Inn in Canada to offer the new Residence Inn bedding package, designed to make guests feel as comfortable as in their own homes.”

Located at 17 Reading Court (near the junction of Atwell Drive and Dixon Road), the nine storey hotel features 137 one and two bedroom suites, two meeting rooms (total 1000 sq ft), indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. The hotel opened its doors to guests on March 7, 2005. Focusing on guest service, the hotel offers 24 hour complimentary shuttle service to and from the Pearson International Airport, located five minutes away.

This all-suite property features one and two bedrooms, with a full kitchen and a separate living room. “This particular Residence Inn by Marriott takes the finishes and appointments to a whole new level with Plasma high-definition TV’s, marble tiled bathroom floors, and granite countertops in every suite”, commented Kelly Anne Yeaman, Area General Manager, adding that “fireplaces have been included in the two bedroom suites”. Residence Inn, a brand in the Marriott family, is an extended-stay brand combining residential atmosphere with spacious accommodations.

“With Atlific already operating both the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Airport and the Carlingview Airport Inn, the Residence Inn by Marriott is a natural fit into the area,” said Yeaman. “It has increased Marriott’s presence in the airport hotel market.”

“Marriott guests are extremely loyal and have been awaiting the opening of a Residence Inn by Marriott in the busy Toronto Airport area, offering both suites with kitchens and convenient access to the businesses in the airport area – even better they receive their Marriott Rewards”, stated Genna Villanueva, Hotel Manager. “Families will also enjoy the hotel”, added Villanueva, “with reasonably priced suites that offer extra space to relax and a spectacular indoor pool with two-story high ceiling with skylights”.
