Rim Hospitality Acquires 489-room Sheraton
Anaheim Management Agreement

March 23, 2005 - "The Sheraton Anaheim is the full service anchor we have been looking for in Southern California, says Mark Burden, President & CEO.  This will increase our presence in southern California to over 1300 rooms.  "Having another Starwood hotel in our portfolio is a huge plus, says Burden"  (Rim also manages the Four Diamond Sheraton in Petaluma, California). 

The hotel features over 20,000 square feet of newly renovated meeting space and will undergo additional renovation to the rooms and public areas in the next few months.

The hotel was recently purchased by a Japanese real estate company, KEN Real Estate Lease, Ltd. and will be their first hotel in Southern California.  "This type of ownership group is a perfect match for Rim,� says Mark LeBlanc, VP of Development.

"We have been very successful with foreign ownership groups in part do to our transparent management systems that allow owners to watch the asset in real time, both on the revenue and the cost control side. Our systems allows us create cost efficiencies and revenue management strategies on a daily basis, you could say it is micro watching, as opposed to micro managing."

Rim Hospitality manages full service, select service, resort and boutique properties affiliated with national brands including Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and Residence Inn by Marriott, Sheraton, Radisson, Holiday Inn, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Best Western, La Quinta as well as luxury boutique hotels.
