Carlson Hotels Worldwide Acquires Full Ownership of
296-room Radisson Hotels Dallas North, Richardson,
Texas from Olympus Real Estate Partners

.

DALLAS (March 1, 2005)   Carlson Hotels Worldwide, parent company of Radisson Hotels & Resorts, today announced that it has now acquired full ownership of the 296-room Radisson Hotels Dallas North at Richardson from Olympus Real Estate Partners, a co-owner of the hotel.  The hotel will continue to be managed by Carlson Managed Hotels & Resorts under the leadership of newly appointed General Manager Jeff Wood.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide formed a strategic alliance with Dallas-based Olympus Real Estate Partners in 2001 to acquire hotels for conversion and management under Carlson's Radisson brand and continue to have joint ownership of the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore.

When the Radisson Hotel Dallas North (1981 North Central Expressway, Richardson, TX) first became a Radisson hotel in March 2001, the property completed a more than $6 million extensive renovation to all of its public areas and guest rooms.

"The hotel has been a great example for the brand and its service and product standards, and it has earned the company's President's Award for five years in a row," said Steve Hedberg, vice president of operations for Carlson Managed Hotels & Resorts. "The hotel offers a premium location along the city's northeast corridor and is well-equipped for meetings and social functions.   Our investment in this property is part of our commitment to manage and operate hotels in key markets and further builds the brand's presence in the Southwest."

The hotel features a lobby with rich colors and textures, modern prints and a cascading waterfall.  Prominently situated in the middle of the lobby, the "Java Connection" specialty coffee bar and cocktail lounge offers laptop portals for wireless, high-speed Internet connections.  The hotel offers a pre-function meeting area and 12,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Texas-sized guestrooms are decorated with warm, soothing tones and feature standardized amenities including high-speed Internet access, a coffee maker, hair dryer, full-size iron and ironing board, in-room safe and large desks with built in electrical outlets and modem hook-ups.  The hotel has just installed PrintMe® Enterprise Solutions which allows guests the ability to print their documents via the web or by e-mail.  Premium rooms also include a refrigerator and microwave, and three of the hotel's 12 floors provide complimentary concierge service.

The hotel has also announced that it will be upgrading 90 percent of its rooms by July 2005 with the new custom-designed Sleep Number Bed by Select ComfortTM that is available exclusively at Radisson Hotels & Resorts.  In support of Radisson goal to enable guest choice and more guest control over the hotel experience, Radisson plans to have Sleep Number® beds available in all Radisson Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, with the majority of Radisson's 90,000 beds to be upgraded to Sleep Number® beds by 2006.

Unlike traditional innerspring mattresses, the firmness of a Sleep Numberbed can be adjusted at the touch of a button for each guest to find their ideal level of mattress comfort, firmness and support. The concierge-level rooms provide additional comfort and service, with plush bath robes, premium bottled drinking water and evening turndown service.

There are currently more than 430 Radisson locations in 61 countries. Radisson is a division of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, a global leader in the hotel industry encompassing five hotel brands and over 890 hotels and resorts in 68 countries.
