Expansion and Renovation |
.
Vancouver, BC - March 16, 2005 - Pan Pacific Vancouver is set
to become home to one of Western Canada's largest conference centres with
the unveiling of its new Galley Level, designed by award-winning interior
designer Robert Ledingham.
The Gallery Level, to be completed in May 2005, was part of a two-year, $11-million expansion and renovation that will provide the harbour-front hotel with 42,000 square feet and 20 rooms of event space, most of which will have unobstructed floor-to-ceiling views of Vancouver's world-renowned harbour and North Shore mountains. The Pan Pacific Galley Level includes two state-of-the-art executive boardrooms; four contemporary event suites (Coal Harbour, Pacific Rim I & II, Cypress) and the magnificent Oceanview Suites; and a unique set of eight event rooms that can be used individually or combined into two large spaces for up to 800 people. "As the only property in Canada to receive AAA's Five Diamond Award in the hotel and restaurant category, people come to us looking for that same attention to detail and service for their events," said Steve Halliday, Senior Vice President of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts America and General Manager of Pan Pacific Vancouver. Halliday continues, "The Oceanview Suites epitomize what our Five Diamond experience is all about. From the moment guests arrive at its grand entrance, with its waterfall and fireplace, they'll see we spared no expense to make sure their event experience and event space is as unique as they are. They'll also be treated to an almost 360-degree elevated view of one of the most beautiful harbours in the world." Awash in natural light, the Oceanview Suites also features exquisite chandeliers, backlit onyx, luxurious fabrics and the Pan Pacific Vancouver's signature Bird's Eye Maple. On March 30, the Pan Pacific will also herald the opening of the $3.5 million, 12,000 square foot Spa Utopia and Salon, followed by the mid-May opening of Pan Pacific's 2,500 square foot, state-of-the-art health and fitness centre. Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts currently encompasses 25 hotels (18 managed properties and 7 marketing affiliates) in 11 countries throughout Asia, the Pacific and North America. |
