Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jacques Baheux, CHA, as
General Manager for the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference
Center, VA. The Renaissance Portsmouth is a luxury 249 guest room
hotel situated in Portsmouth's historic Olde Towne district, overlooking
the Elizabeth River and Norfolk, VA.
Mr. Baheux is an experienced hospitality industry management professional who brings 20 years of management and leadership experience to the position. Mr. Baheux joins the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel from The Tremont Boston Hotel where he served under Crestline's management as the interim general manager. "Jacques has a long and experienced background in international hospitality," said Dave Durbin, President, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. "Jacques expertise in management, food and beverage, and customer service make him an excellent asset to this hotel," added Durbin. Mr. Baheux holds a B.S. in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Houston, and he is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). He speaks three languages fluently including English, French and Spanish. His extensive hospitality industry management career includes the Newport Bay Beach Hotel at Disneyland Paris, 'My Kinda Town,' the busiest themed restaurant in Europe, as well as positions in San Antonio, TX, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Spokane, Washington and Toronto, Canada.
