Billy Roberts Appointed Executive Chef at the
All-New Columbus Airport Marriott

COLUMBUS, OH, - March 21, 2005 – The all-new Columbus Airport Marriott has recently appointed Billy Roberts as Executive Chef.  Roberts will oversee the entire culinary staff for the hotel’s signature River City Grille Restaurant & Lounge, which specializes in fresh American cuisine, as well as the entire catering operation for the 228-room property. 

A local celebrity in his own right, Roberts has made a number of TV appearances, doing what he does best…cooking.  He was formerly the Executive Chef and Managing Partner at Bon Vie Bistro and Wine Bar, and prior to that successful endeavor, he helped open Brio Tuscan Grille.  Born in Juneau, Alaska and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Roberts brings to the Columbus Airport Marriott a wealth of culinary and hospitality expertise.  From the breathtaking mountains of Orem, Utah, where he served as Banquet Chef at the world-renowned Sundance Resort, to the exotics of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands; Key West; and Longboat Key, Florida, Roberts continues his passion for preparing exquisite food with eye-catching appeal. His masterful ability to perfect the cultural delicacies of fine French and American cuisine to the tantalizing Caribbean and Floridian fare, will surely captivate guests of the River City Grille Restaurant & Lounge and the Columbus Airport Marriott for years to come. Roberts holds a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.
