Tiburon Hospitality Management Aggressively
Pursues Travel Industry Market

.

Carefree, AZ -  January 24, 2005 - With the recent hiring of a seasoned travel industry veteran, Tiburon Hospitality Management (THM) is aggressively expanding its presence in the travel industry market.

According to John Davies, vice president of sales and marketing for THM, the addition of Kimberly Freer as corporate director of travel industry sales adds a whole new dimension to this relatively young and dynamic hotel management company.  Because our properties are in such unique locations, we recognize how important the travel professional is to Tiburons sales and marketing strategies, said Davies.  Kimberly is highly respected and well known in the domestic and international travel industry markets.  Her extensive knowledge and expertise in this arena speaks for itself, said Davies.

Freer brings more than 23 years of experience in hospitality, theme park and retail travel agency operations.  Her areas of expertise include international and domestic wholesale, retail travel, corporate, convention and meeting planning and product development.  In her position with Tiburon, shell be responsible for penetrating and spearheading the travel agent, wholesale, consortia, vacation rental market and extended stay markets.

Tiburons current portfolio of resorts includes three award-winning destination resorts that, when THM was awarded the management contracts, were operating as conference resorts with little or no emphasis on the leisure market.  In its on-going repositioning efforts, Tiburon recognized the need for an aggressive, experienced professional to help the properties drive this market and facilitate its growth.

Kimberly has made significant inroads in the short time shes been with the company, said Davies.  Because of her extensive client base and existing relationships, shes already introduced our resorts to key consortia partners, wholesale operators and travel professionals all over the world.

As THM positions itself to become a travel agent friendly organization, future plans call for a guaranteed commission program, launching a private web site portal in 2005, implementing guaranteed travel industry rates and developing an exclusive VIP program for on-site agent visits.  Kimberly Freer can be reached at [email protected] or at 480-595-3710.

Headquartered in Carefree, AZ, Tiburon Hospitality Management properties include the 360-room Carefree Resort & Villas in Carefree, AZ; the 190-room Daufuskie Island Resort & Breathe Spa off Hilton Head Island, SC; and the 254-room Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, NJ.  For further information, visit the website at www.tiburonhospitality.com.
