Sarojin Management Expresses Thanks Over Concern Following Tsunami

.

HONG KONG -- Jan. 5, 2005 -- The management of The Sarojin, the 56-room boutique luxury resort scheduled to open in Khao Lak, Thailand, in January 2005, would like to thank their friends, prospective guests and the media for their kind concern and support following the tsunami which hit Khao Lak so severely. Currently, the property has one member of staff and two guests missing and the management is continuing to search for them. There was one guest fatality.

The property, which was undergoing a trial opening with friends and investors staying over the Christmas and New Year period, will now not be taking any reservations for the period January - April 2005 and will await a detailed recovery time plan before making any further announcements as to an opening date.

Although The Sarojin is waiting for a full professional assessment, the property appears to be intact and the majority of the damage seems to be confined to the ground floors, interiors and soft areas. Amazingly, the second floor Sarojin Suites appear to be almost completely untouched and this is attributed to the sheltered location, the design and the construction of the resort.

The management of The Sarojin plans to set up a fund to help the Khao Lak community and further details will be available soon.
