Coupland of Raleigh, North Carolina recently joined The Generation
Companies LLC (Generation), a Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
based real estate developer, asset manager and operator of extended
stay hotels, as CFO (Chief Financial Officer). Mr. Coupland, who brings
more than 30 years of expertise in financial management to his new
position, has previous CFO experience with R.J. Reynolds International
in Southeast Asia, IEP Pharmaceutical Devices, IllumElex Corporation,
and Peace College. He has been working with Generation as their
part-time CFO for more than four years. Coupland will oversee all
accounting and financial reporting functions, work in investor
relations and project financing, and serve as Chairman of Generation's
Information Technology Committee. As part of the corporate
management team, Coupland will participate in strategic planning,
