FastBooking Launches Fully Integrated GDS Solution;
System Streamlines Rate Updating Process,
Opens Channels to 450,000 Travel Agents

.

NEW YORK, NY (January 17, 2005) -- FastBooking has launched its fully integrated GDS solution. The new FastBooking GDS, which uses next generation seamless technology, will enable hoteliers to update all descriptive data, rates and availability throughout their entire distribution network through one channel manager.

The chore of updating a range of different reservation systems will become a thing of the past with FastBooking GDS, says Ed Brill, chief manager Americas for FastBooking, which is based in Paris with an office in New York. FastBooking has reduced that tedious process to just one single step.

Also through FastBookings new GDS solution, access to a participating hotel will be provided to the four main GDS operatorsGalileo International, Worldspan, Amadeus and the Sabre Travel Network. That means that 450,000 travel agents all over the world will have the ability to book rooms at that hotel. The 70 leading Internet portals also will

Ed Brill
have access to the hotel. Individual hotels that previously made their rooms available through booking engines on their own sites instantly will be accessible through many new reservation channels through FastBooking GDS, Brill says. That can only mean more room nights sold and more global visibility.

Groups of hotels using FastBookings Web CRS also will benefit from the next generation technology that is part of FastBooking GDS. FastBooking GDS provides a direct, real-time connection between the CRS and each of the GDSs thousands of global customers.

The tariff offer for this new GDS-Internet product is highly competitive for all types of hotels. For a limited time, setup fees will be waived. There is no monthly or annual fee. There is only a very low booking fee on net realized bookings.

You only pay a commission if you actually receive bookings, Brill says. Because the majority of the GDS bookings will result in more travel agent commissions, FastBooking can also automate payment to the agents to reduce the hoteliers workload.

The GDS bookings will all be processed through FastBooking software and users will be able to easily view and analyze them.

GDS Builds Upon Successful System

FastBooking GDS is an extension of FastBookings industry leading booking engine software. More than 2,000 hotel clients, including individual hotels and hotel groups, use FastBooking to drive business through their websites. FastBooking enables them to manage and customize all their rates and offers, including packages, promotions and last-minute specials.

FastBooking is flexible, user-friendly and helps each hotel generate revenue in new and exciting ways, Brill says.

Travelers who book reservations through websites with a FastBooking booking engine are presented with all available rate offers and room types on one single page.

When travelers visit other sites, usually one rate and one room type is shown at any one time, and usually this will result in some lengthy scrolling on that page, Brill says. This is a big differentiator from other providers. We show all relevant offers and available room types on one page. The buyers advantage is that he sees the information faster and as such is more likely to book. Converting lookers to bookers is what it is all about.

Multiple Language Capabilities Offered

Travelers who visit hotel sites that use FastBooking software can make their reservations in a choice of 26 different languages. When a traveler logs onto a website, the FastBooking system detects the language selected in that customers browser and provides all information needed for the booking process in that language. Confirmations and booking error messages are all presented in the bookers own language.

People who feel comfortable working in their own language are more likely to book a room, Brill says. No other company offers the vastness of the language capabilities that FastBooking does.

Travel agents wishing to make a reservation at a site that has implemented FastBooking software can log in with their IATA number on each sites home page. FastBooking tracks all travel agent reservations to ensure proper commission payment. Special rates and packages also can be made available only to travel agents.

FastBooking also makes it easy to generate helpful site activity reports. Statistics can show the origin of reservation activity and at what point in the reservation process a potential guest was looking for a room but could not find one available. Reports also can show what room and rate types sell the most. All possible charts and performance measurements are available in real time.
