Kenneth Sorensen Named General Manager
of Le Méridien Cyberport, Hong Kong

21 February 2005, Hong Kong - Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Kenneth Sorensen as General Manager of Le Méridien Cyberport, Hong Kong.

Kenneth will in his role spearhead the business and growth of Hong Kong�s only south-side hotel with a key focus on driving revenue, grow market share and further strengthen the hotel�s strategic positioning as Hong Kong�s chic 5-star business hotel. 

Kenneth, began his hospitality career in 1990 with Hilton International and spent the following 7 years in a variety of senior Sales & Marketing roles in the Benelux before joining Swissotel Hotels and Resorts in Switzerland at the Montreux Palace, a member of Leading Hotels of the World; and was later promoted to Vice President Sales and Marketing Asia/Pacific, Swissotel Hotels and Resorts.

Joining Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts in 2001 as Resident Manager at Le Méridien Nirwana Golf and Spa Resort in Bali, Kenneth crossed into operations and today processes the rare blend of both a sales & marketing as well as an operational career. In February 2003 he was appointed General Manager of Le Méridien Tahiti where during his tenure the hotel was repositioned with its market and moved from 3rd to 1st position in market share.

Kenneth a graduate from The Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland holds a degree in hotel management

Le Méridien Cyberport opened in April 2004 and features 173 rooms, 3 restaurants, 3 bars and meeting facilities.
