Offered to the Public, Piece by Piece -- February 3 - 9, 2005 -- |
February 2, 2005 - It was an example of the spirit and drive of a city truly being reborn, not to long along. Now the hotel is still part of the rebirth. The hotel was sold to Target Corporation and had to close its doors forever. But, before Adams Mark is gone from Philadelphia forever, the contents of the Hotel MUST BE SOLD WITHIN 7 DAYS OR DESTROYED. Starting on Thursday, February 3, over 1 MILLION items will be offered to the public, piece by piece. We are offering the general public an opportunity to purchase quality hotel furnishings from newly remodeled rooms that are normally only available to commercial buyers, according to John Klesch, Vice President of Hotel Liquidators. This is NOT an auction. An auction of the furnishings would have resulted in lot selling of large quantities to dealers. The auction method restricts the average person. Our method of a tag sale will give the general public a chance to purchase one, two or more items. Prices range from $1.00 to $1,000.00. The liquidation sale will be one of the largest hotel demolition sales in the history of the city, consisting of 100s of color TVs, armoires, tables, chairs, lamps, (2) entire Kitchens to serve over 5,000 people; (1) entire bar, lobby furnishings, meeting room furnishings for 1,000s, and even the imported Crystal Chandeliers are for sale. The sale will continue for 7 days only. The sale hours are Monday through Sunday 9 am to 7 pm. The terms of sale are cash, MasterCard and Visa. The sale is located at the Adams Mark Hotel, 4000 Monument Blvd & City Avenue. Only 50 customers will be allowed within the property at one given time.
