and Conversion of Former Sheraton

.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., - October 28, 2004 West Palm Beachs only full-service Marriott, the re-branded, upscale, 352-room West Palm Beach Marriott, officially dedicated Friday, October 22, 2004 with Marriott International Chairman and CEO J.W. Marriott, Jr., and a host of local dignitaries attending.

While in the midst of a renovation and conversion from a Sheraton Hotel, the West Palm Beach Marriott immediately came to the aid of their community. While the hotel was closed to the general public, they opened their doors to accommodate a host of emergency personnel from such organizations as: FEMA, Florida Wildlife, Sheriffs Department, and Florida Highway Patrol. They also accommodated a number of hotel staff and their families, who found themselves without a safe place to call home.

Owned by PBM Properties, LLC and managed by Marriott International, the 10-story, West Palm Beach Marriott is two miles from Palm Beach International Airport, and just minutes from CityPlace, an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment complex; Kravis Center for the Performing Arts; and one of Floridas most popular beaches.

Inspired by the beauty, grace and elegance of neighboring West Palm Beach mansions, the exquisite interiors of the West Palm Beach Marriott were designed with a wide open feel, which is immediately apparent when entering the hotels expansive main lobby and lushly landscaped outdoor verandah.  Custom-designed, casually elegant furnishings, combined with unique, specially commissioned murals and artwork is thoughtfully incorporated throughout the entire hotel for a contemporary and comfortably inviting atmosphere.

Now joining an elite handful of hotels in the world with a fully kosher kitchen, the West Palm Beach Marriott with 18,000 square-feet of meeting space also serves as the headquarter hotel to the all-new Palm Beach County Convention Center. The partnership provides an additional 350,000 square-feet of meeting space, including the state-of-the-art 100,000 square-foot Exhibition Hall.

One of the most dramatic transformations is the hotel's 6,650 square-foot ballroom, now completely redesigned to include custom crystal chandeliers and millwork enhancements, rivaling those of a by-gone era. Classically elegant in true Palm Beach style, it is the ideal setting to host lavish banquets, creative themed events, or corporate meetings.  The West Palm Beach Marriott provides high-speed internet and full audio-visual capabilities, including an executive boardroom for smaller groups and a covered terrace for themed receptions. The property also contains full-service shipping and receiving facilities.
