Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna on the West Coast of Abu Dhabi |
.
Abu Dhabi, October 2004: The National Corporation for Tourism
& Hotels has announced that Manoj Kanwal has been appointed as general
manager of the Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna, heading the team overseeing the
launch this autumn of the first five-star resort on the west coast of Abu
Dhabi.
Kanwal is keen to establish the Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna as one of the UAE’s leading resorts, and confident that it will meet all expectations and more. “Response from the European travel trade has been excellent and we already have confirmed allocations from several tour operators for this winter,” he said. “However, we also expect to achieve a high level of local business – we are far enough away that people coming to Jebel Dhanna for the weekend or short break can experience something completely different and go home feeling totally relaxed.” With 109 rooms and suites, the Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna offers exceptional resort facilities including a 800 metres private beach, a full range of beach and water sports, two floodlit tennis courts, a par-36 nine hole sand golf course and driving range, children’s club, extensive banqueting and meeting rooms facilities, the Body and Soul Health Club, Pan-Arabian and bistro restaurants and a C-View café, and six waterfront villas. The National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H) was formed in 1996 in response to the need to develop both tourism and commerce in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), especially Abu Dhabi. The Corporation was formed as a semi-government organisation. NCT&H’s primary objective is to promote Abu Dhabi as an international destination, supervise and manage hotels and provide transportation and catering services. |
