Adds Six Independent Hotels to its Portolio

CHICAGO, November 15, 2005 - Preferred Hotels® & Resorts Worldwide, a luxury brand representing 128 of the world's finest independently owned and operated hotels and resorts, announced today it has added six new hotels to its brand, further increasing its portfolio which is renowned for its individuality, authenticity and personality. These new hotels stretch from West to East with new properties in Hawaii, Chicago, New York, Paris and Greece.

Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu, Hawaii

Turtle Bay Resort has just reopened its doors following a US$60 million renovation. This breathtaking hotel is set on 880 acres on the legendary North Shore of Oahu, with five miles of unspoiled beaches and 12 miles of oceanfront hiking trails. The resort has a contemporary island design, and being situated at the northernmost point of Oahu, it is enchantingly surrounded by the Pacific Ocean - very much a taste of true Hawaii.

The extensive renovation included all guestrooms and beach cottages, the main lobby and retail shops, refurbishment of the restaurants and lounges, a new oceanfront ballroom, a new oceanfront spa, an additional swimming pool with a waterslide, an additional nine holes to the George Fazio Golf Course and a refurbished golf shop and restaurant.

The resort has 443 guest rooms, of which 69 are suites, and with three restaurants and three bars on offer, guests have a wonderful choice of contemporary island cuisine, lavish buffets, oceanside bars and poolside dining.

Facilities on offer include 36 holes of championship golf, 10 tennis courts, horseback riding, a spa and fitness center, a beauty salon and for the more adventurous there are surf lessons and helicopter rides for entertainment. For corporate users, the hotel offers an on-site business center.

The Hotel Orrington, Evanston, Illinois

The Hotel Orrington, which opened on November 1, 2004, is based on the historic North Shore, just 15 minutes from downtown Chicago.  Evanston, which is home to the world-renowned Northwestern University, is known for its four-star restaurants, unique shopping and cultural attractions.

The hotel has just received a $32 million-dollar renovation, concentrating on the 269 rooms and suites, conference and meeting facilities and a grand ballroom, all of which go to make this hotel a truly outstanding place to stay. 

Highlights of the renovation include the Grand Ballroom which accommodates up to 500 people and features a spectacular grand staircase; the Heritage Ballroom which accommodates up to 155 people, a new conference center built to IACC (International Association of Conference Centers) specifications with 12 dedicated conference rooms, a 75-seat auditorium with elevated seating, laptop connections and full audiovisual capabilities and an exclusive 12-seat boardroom with built-in audiovisual capabilities.  In addition, the renovation included a full business center and an additional self-service business center open 24 hours, an up-to-date fitness center and a lobby lounge with cocktail bar and live entertainment. In spring 2005, a four-star restaurant is due to open.
 

DREAM, New York 

The current talk of New York City, DREAM, opened October 1, 2004. This outstanding property is ideally situated between Central Park and Times Square and is a modern eclectic deluxe hotel within a landmark 1895 Beaux-Arts building. The hotel has 220 guest rooms, of which 17 are suites, and the Serafina restaurant offers a diverse mix of Italian cuisine, serving creative pastas and entrees as well as some of the best thin-crust pizzas in New York City.

Center & Spa.  Due to open in early 2005 this 3,000 square-foot facility will offer guests the ancient healing arts of ayurveda, spa services as well as yoga and meditation and a fitness center.

Plaza Paris Vendôme, Paris

Plaza Paris Vendôme is a magnificent new hotel in a prominent 19th century building, located between rue Saint Honoré and Jardin des Tuileries, adjacent to Place Vendôme and the Louvre Museum, just a few minutes from the Paris Stock Exchange and the city's main business districts. The hotel's interior is inspired by 1930s and 1950s motifs with a modern style and a chic, relaxed ambience. There are 97 guest rooms, of which 12 are suites, and each features high-speed internet access and DVD player.

Dining at the hotel�s Pinxo restaurant is quintessentially Parisian and certain to be a very memorable experience. Grecotel Mykonos Blu, Mykonos, Greece

A haven for jet-setters and romantics, Grecotel Mykonos Blu is located on the island of Mykonos and built above Psarou Bay, a tranquil gulf in the Aegean Sea. Close to the hotel is Plati Gialou, the fishing harbour, where water taxis leave regularly for nearby popular, hidden beaches. Additionally, Mykonos Harbour has regular high-speed passenger and car ferry services to Rafina (Athens) and the Cycladic & Dodecanese islands.

The hotel, with its 102 guest rooms and four romantic bungalow suites with private pools, has its own exclusive style with the traditional colors of Greece, white and blue, dominating the elegant modern architecture. Grecotel Cape Sounio, Sounio, Greece

Grecotel Cape Sounio is situated amidst Byzantine ruins at the edge of the Sounio National Park opposite the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounio, Greece. Situated on a 75-acre estate in a pine forest, the hotel is very close to the city and port of Lavrion, and within easy driving distance of Athens International Airport and Athens city centre.

The hotel has 154 guest rooms, of which 29 are suites, and displays elegant contemporary decor in earthy colours that are in absolute harmony with the magnificent surroundings.  Guests can enjoy dining in the Cape Sounio Restaurant for Greek and international cuisine or one of three hotel bars � the Cape Sounio Bar, the Pool Bar or the Elixir Spa Lounge.

Leisure facilities include tennis courts, the Elixir Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, child care, a beauty salon, dry cleaning, a florist, and shops. For business guests, there are six meeting rooms on offer.
