of Little Dix Bay, A Rosewood Resort
.
DALLAS - Nov. 4, 2004 -- Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts throughout the world, is proud to announce the appointment of Martein van Wagenberg as Managing Director of Little Dix Bay, A Rosewood Resort.

Van Wagenberg is a seasoned Caribbean hotelier who brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role. For the past eight years, van Wagenberg has been the General Manager of Grace Bay Club in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, where he developed the young property into an internationally recognized five-star resort. During his tenure there, he oversaw the integration of residential and hotel facilities, which will now prove invaluable as a similar process is currently underway at Little Dix Bay.

Moreover, in 1995 van Wagenberg served as the Food & Beverage Director at Little Dix Bay, so his familiarity with the property, as well as Rosewood's unique corporate culture, will ensure a smooth transition.

"With the exciting enhancements taking place at Little Dix Bay, we felt it critical to appoint an experienced leader who has strong background in property development and a successful track record managing luxury resorts in the Caribbean," stated John Scott, President & CEO of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. "We are thrilled to welcome Martein to our family."

Van Wagenberg began his career in Europe, holding management positions of increasing responsibility at Hyde Park Hotel in London and The Grand Hotel in Amsterdam. Throughout his residency in the Caribbean, van Wagenberg has taken an active role in community and industry organizations. He has been a member of the Caribbean Hotel Association and the Turks & Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association since 1995, and in 2004, served as Director of the Turks and Caicos Association. Van Wagenberg speaks six languages which will prove beneficial in communicating with Little Dix Bay's international clientele.

Van Wagenberg was educated at the Hotel Management School in Maastricht, Netherlands as well as the premier US hotelier program at Cornell University. His impressive educational background coupled with his extensive hospitality experience makes him an invaluable asset as Little Dix Bay's host extraordinaire, constantly looking for new ways to serve the Rosewood guest.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages properties worldwide including The Mansion on Turtle Creek and Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas, The Carlyle in New York, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico, Hotel Seiyo Ginza in Tokyo, Japan, The Dharmawangsa in Jakarta, Indonesia, and a triumvirate of world-class Caribbean properties - Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda, Caneel Bay on St. John and Jumby Bay on Antigua.
