LONDON -- 23 November 2004 - To complement its Rate Check product,
Electrobug is pleased to announce two new products which should prove to
be a major improvement on the status quo of revenue and distribution managers.
Both these products will be on display at Electrobug's booth at the HEDNA
conference in Los Angeles on December 7-9.
The first product, Rate Change, enables hotels to change rates and allocations
on multiple extranets through one interface. By integrating with its Rate
Check product, Electrobug is offering the hotels "One Click Rate Parity",
enabling them to rebalance their third party channel rates against their
brand web site or GDS with the click of one button.
The second product, Rate Parity Control, enables hotel groups to streamline
with workflow of interacting with properties to get them to bring rates
into line with a corporate policy.
"We
have had a good look at how managers are currently spending their time,
and what products are currently on offer to update rates through one screen."
says Mark Heynen, Managing Director of Electrobug. "The general view is
that uploading and managing rates needs to be more automated, but the current
solutions do not have the required flexibility or functionality. There
is still a major need for a product that does a proper job of this. We
feel we have it."
"The major pitfalls faced in this area are not having enough sites integrated,
not updating rates reliably, not having healthy relationships with the
third party websites, and not providing the flexibility to cater to different
user groups. We have been focused on solving these problems." says Mark.
"We are particularly excited about our market leading, new to the world
One Click Rate Parity option--this will save an immense amount of time
in rebalancing rates.
Electrobug is already trialling the product with several major hotel
groups in Europe, and is currently offering a free trial to any of its
existing clients. New clients can sign up following the HEDNA conference.
"Our goal is to innovate continuously to ensure customers always get
the best from us. We have a development team of 50 full time staff, with
a view ensuring our customers get the most innovative and easy to use rate
management tools in the marketplace." concluded Mark.

Electrobug Technologies (www.electrobug.com), based in London, England,
was initially conceived on the notion that the "Internet is the database."
The company has been active for four years, and has developed a suite of
online data retrieval tools for price tracking, currently in use at a number
of retailers, airlines, hotels, and travel agents throughout Europe. These
tools automatically retrieve prices from various web sites, normalise the
data sets, and report the results to a set of customised Excel and HTML
reports to be used in channel management and competitor price checks. The
company is active in air, hotels, car rentals, and the retail area, counting
companies such as Expedia, Lastminute.com, Priceline.com, Sainsburys, and
Tesco as clients.
