Veteran hotelier, Ella Messerli, has been General Manager of the Marquis Los Cabos Beach Golf, Spa & Casitas Resort since it opened in April 1, 2003. Ms. Messerli, who has worked extensively in hospitality throughout North and South America, began her career with the Westin Camino Real Hotel in Mexico City in 1983 and has worked for industry leaders such as Las Brisas, Mandarin Oriental and Inter-Continental, in the United States and Latin America.  Most recently she served for three years as an independent Marketing & Communications Consultant, coordinating, among other things, international promotional seminars for the Mexico Tourism Board and Management Team Building Courses for Orient-Express Hotels Peru. In June 1998, she was honored by Travel Agent Magazine as one of the �Most Powerful Women in Travel.�

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, founded in Paris in 1248, unites professional and amateur gastronomes in a private, not-for-profit society to promote fine dining and preserve the camaraderie and pleasures of the table.  The Chaîne is based on the traditions and practices of the old French royal guild of goose roasters, birds that were particularly appreciated in that epoch.  Its authority gradually expanded to the roasting of all poultry, meat and game. Today, the society has members in more than 70 countries around the world.

Ms. Messerli was educated in Europe, is fluent in French, Spanish and English and is currently the President of the Mexican Chapter of SITE.
