   Flagship Resort Properties Completes $14.5 million Renovation of the Former Carib Inn; Reopens
as the 222 room Holiday Inn - San Juan

First Holiday Inn Hotel to open in San Juan

ATLANTA (Dec. 2, 2004) � InterContinental Hotels Group announced today that a newly renovated 222-room hotel in San Juan has opened as the Holiday Inn-San Juan after completing a $14.5 million renovation.

The hotel boasts contemporary décor throughout the lobby and guestrooms and renovations include newly designed bathrooms in all guestrooms, high-impact glass windows and new air conditioning throughout. A free-formed pool and tropical deck area were also part of the hotel�s renovations.

�Forty years ago, the San Juan Racquet Club sat on this property, and later became the Carib Inn until 1998,� said Rick Newman, president, Flagship Resort Properties. �Vacant for six years, we purchased the property, invested more than $14.5 million to convert this property to a Holiday Inn and we are thrilled with the end result.�

The Holiday Inn-San Juan offers a variety of amenities such as an outdoor pool, business center, 24-hour front desk, express check-out, in-room video check-out, same day laundry and valet, car rental desk, tour desk, gift shop and babysitting services. The hotel also features live entertainment�jazz and piano. With 15,000-sq. ft. of function space, including two ballrooms and eight meeting rooms, the hotel is available for business meetings and banquets.

The hotel has three themed dining facilities: Vin Santo, a contemporary tapas and wine bar; J.H. Yee�s, a modern Asian-fusion eatery and Fantasia, serving Californian-Caribbean cuisine and the Holiday Inn Best-4-Breakfast® menu. The restaurants also offer the Kids Eat Free program, where up to four children per family eat free for up to three meals per day at all Holiday Inn hotels in the United States and Canada. To participate, kids must be age 12 or younger, order from the kids� menu in the hotel restaurant and be accompanied by a dining adult. The hotel also features David�s Cookies.
