Electrobug Technologies (www.electrobug.com), based in London, England, was initially conceived on the notion that the "Internet is the database." The company has been active for four years, and has developed a suite of online data retrieval tools for price tracking, currently in use at a number of retailers, airlines, hotels, and travel agents throughout Europe. These tools automatically retrieve prices from various web sites, normalize the data sets, and report the results to a set of customised Excel and HTML reports to be used in channel management and competitor price checks. The company is active in air, hotels, car rentals, and the retail area, counting companies such as Expedia, Lastminute.com, Priceline.com, Sainsburys, and Tesco as clients.
