.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. July 15, 2004 Charles Peck, president and chief operating officer of Destination Hotels & Resorts, today announced a number of key promotions in the companys sales and marketing department, led by the appointment of Andy Anderson as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Destination Hotels & Resorts is the fourth largest independent hospitality management company in the United States with more than 7,000 guest rooms, 17 golf courses and eight full-service spas in 28 locations.

After a nationwide search for an industry sales and marketing expert with background in luxury, upscale independent properties, the company found its match in Andy Anderson. With more than 30 years experience, Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge to Destination Hotels & Resorts with a solid foundation in domestic and international sales, brand management, business development, as well as individual property market positioning, opening and daily operations. He will use these skills to lead the corporate sales and marketing team, while supporting the companys distinctive collection of properties.

As an industry, weve gone through a number of challenging years and were excited to have Andy on board to help us ride the wave of recovery that is taking place in lodging and hospitality, said Peck. His background is a great complement to our collection of independent properties and we look forward to the innovation and strategic ideas hell bring to the table.

Anderson previously was a partner in a hospitality management company called Foresthills Hotels and Resorts based in Dallas, Texas, which was purchased by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, owners of St. Regis Hotels and Resorts. As vice president of St. Regis he and his team were responsible for growing the sales and marketing function of the brand. Prior to his tenure with St. Regis, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Rosewood Hotels for seven years and vice president of development for three years. His early background in the industry was with Four Seasons Hotels and Hyatt Hotels.

Throughout his distinguished career, Anderson has been recognized with a variety of industry awards including the Presidents Award and Supplier of the Year Award given by Meeting Professionals International. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in business from St. Vincents College in Latrobe, Penn. Anderson and his wife are relocating to Denver from Dallas, Texas; they have three children.

Sales and Marketing Promotions

Following 19 years of significant contribution to the growth of Destination Hotels & Resorts, Maureen Callahan was promoted to vice president of marketing.  Callahan will work closely with Anderson to oversee corporate marketing initiatives including all corporate marketing programs, business development, public relations, portfolio awareness and new property acquisition and transition. Callahans vast experience with the company has included the repositioning and overall marketing direction for new hotel and resort acquisitions, sales and marketing support to Destinations condominium hotel portfolio   in the Rocky Mountains, Hawaii and California; the creation and implementation of the companys initial customer and meeting planner satisfaction programs; and management of the companys national group sales offices. Callahan began her career with the company as director of sales and marketing for The Gant in Aspen, Colo

Rounding out the new sales and marketing appointments are the promotion of Trevor Stuart-Hill to the position of vice president, distribution and revenue systems, and the addition of Greg Staley, director of reservations and revenue systems.  Stuart-Hill will be responsible for Destinations portfolio-wide revenue management plus overall reservation performance including all electronic channels.  He also is integrally involved in new property acquisitions as related to reservation and revenue systems.  Staley joins Destinations corporate office from a very successful position as director of reservations at the companys Pointe South Mountain Resort and will assist Stuart-Hill to coordinate best practices amongst the property-based revenue managers.

Appointed with the task of maximizing the value of Destinations web site, Jennifer Long has been named as director, Web site marketing.  Long began her tenure with Destination at The Inverness Hotel & Conference Center and joined the marketing department in the corporate office a year later.
