Atlanta, GA, August 19, 2004 -- Contemporary design and high tech amenities will combine for a unique Vegas experience at the new Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, a new meetings and convention hotel adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The new hotel, which is scheduled to open early in 2005, will be adaptable to its guest’s needs for either wireless or wired High Speed Internet Access (HSIA), thanks to leading provider StayOnline, which was awarded the contract to provide a combined HSIA solution.
“With a hotel of this size, we wanted the best of both worlds. A wired connection to the rooms offered us an affordable solution because we can install it during construction, but we recognize that convention hotels such as ours can draw more business travelers who are accustomed to a wireless Internet option,” said Griffin. “We are seeing more new construction projects combine both wired and wireless access solutions because of the savings realized by installing dedicated Cat 5 to the rooms before the sheet rock goes up,” said Antonio Dimilia, President and CEO of StayOnline. “If properly planned and executed, you can get essentially two complete systems for the price of one.” "As an Interstate-managed property, the Renaissance Las Vegas is but one of the properties that will offer StayOnline's successful HSIA solution. They are now an approved vendor for Interstate and will be also completing several other installations over the next few months, " said Rajiv Castellino, Vice President, Hospitality Technology for Interstate Hotels & Resorts. The full-service Las Vegas property offers a choice location on Paradise Road just one half mile east of Las Vegas Boulevard and adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to its 548 rooms, the hotel includes executive level accommodations with private lounges, 30 VIP suites, specially designed exhibitor suites, 17 fully compliant ADA rooms and 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. “We are excited to be a part of the design and build of such a high-end new property in Vegas,” said DiMilia. “It doesn’t have to be an either/or situation for large hotels such as this. At this stage of the game, we are equipping the Renaissance Las Vegas so that our solution will meet both the guest and staff needs at the time of the opening, as well as their future needs as wireless interfaces become even more prevalent in our society and in the hospitality arena.” About StayOnline
