As a New 802-Room ‘Boutique’
|Los Angeles, Calif. -- August 13, 2004 - Los Angeles-based Kor Hotel
Group has dramatically redefined the term “boutique hotel” with its recent
reinvention of the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Los Angeles Airport.
The hotel’s outdoor heated pool area has gained a fresh resort-destination identity with its elegant black and white cabanas, patio dining area and surrounding palms and flora. After guests dine al fresco poolside, they can work out in the new 1,240 square foot fitness center which features a “cardio theatre” complete with personal flat screen televisions.
The hotel’s 45,000 sq. ft. of meeting space will be fittingly recreated with new interiors and equipment this fall. Wireless Internet service will be available in the public areas.
Kor will also premiere a full-service Starbucks café and celebrated Shula’s Steak House restaurant at the Sheraton Gateway by year’s end.
In addition to Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Airport, the KOR Hotel Group’s hospitality properties include Avalon Hotel and Maison 140 in Beverly Hills, Viceroy Santa Monica and Viceroy Palm Springs, and the Sheraton Four Points in Santa Monica. The Kor Hotel Group purchased the Sheraton Gateway Hotel LAX in 2002.
