Educational Institute Offers Training
Programs in DVD Format

ORLANDO, Fla., August 2004-The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association is now offering several of its hospitality training videos in DVD format.  The five new subject-specific DVD packages each feature the complete content from three EI videos packaged on a single DVD to create an easy-to-use training series. 

The five DVD packages include: 

  • Risk Management DVD:  "Spotlight On Security for Lodging;" "Fire Safety: Prevention and Response for the Lodging Industry;" and "Planning for Emergencies." 
  • Front Office DVD:  "Courtesy Rules: Better Telephone Skills Now;" "Competitive Edge: Sales Strategies for Small Properties;" and "Guest Relations: Aiming to Please." 
  • Housekeeping DVD: "Stay Safe: Awareness Training for Housekeepers;" "Quality Guestroom Cleaning;" and "World Trainer: Guestroom and Bathroom Cleaning." 
  • Guest Service DVD: "10-Minute Trainer: Sales;" "10-Minute Trainer: Front Office;" and "10-Minute Trainer: Security." 
  • Maintenance and Engineering DVD: "Energy-$aving Tips for Lodging;" "Full Access: Making Your Property ADA Compliant;" and "Quality Guestroom Maintenance." 
Each three-program DVD is available for $375 ($300 for AH&LA members). Each of the 15 titles included in the DVD packages is also available in DVD format, for the same price as the videotape format for the title.  (Pricing is available online at www.ei-ahla.org <http://www.ei-ahla.org>) As a special introductory offer, customers will save 10 percent on all DVDs ordered by October 31, 2004.
