WHITE PLAINS, NY, August 5, 2004�Entries are now being accepted for
the 9th annual IH/M&RS Editors� Choice Awards. The Editors� Choice
Awards recognize outstanding new product introductions in six categories:
Décor, Flavors, Restaurant, Technology, Essentials, and Luxury.
The Awards will be presented during the International Hotel/Motel &
Restaurant Show® (IH/M&RS), November 13 � 16, 2004, at the Jacob
K. Javits Center in New York City.
The IH/M&RS encourages exhibitors to submit unique and different products or services that are being introduced to the market this year. Editors from the top hospitality and culinary trade publications will review all submissions. Judging will be based on innovative product design, answer to industry need, or use of a new technology. �The Editors� Choice Awards allows exhibitors to preview their most innovative and interesting products to the press before the Show opens,� said Christian Falkenberg, vice president and general manager. �The Editors� Choice Awards is an exciting opportunity for the hospitality industry to honor its outstanding members.� Awards in each of the six categories, as well as a �Best of Show� award in honor of Kenneth F. Hine, former president of the International Hotel & Restaurant Association and the American Hotel & Lodging Association, will be presented during the IH/M&RS Opening Ceremony, Sunday, November 14, 2004, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. All submissions must be completed online. The 89th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 13, through Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at New York City�s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full-day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 13, the IH/M&RS will feature three days of exhibits from Sunday, November 14, through Tuesday, November 16. The market presents some 1,500 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts approximately 45,000 in total trade attendance.
