Prior to accepting his new position, DeSousa was general manager of the Piscataway Embassy Suites in New Jersey operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation.  In his nearly two decades of hospitality experience, he has held a variety of property-level positions, including assistant general manager of the Secaucus Embassy Suites in N.J. and the Westwood, an independent hotel in Garwood, N.J.  He graduated cum laude with a bachelors of science degree in hospitality management from East Stroudsburg University.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is prominently located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, adjacent to the Atlanta Financial Center on Peachtree Road.
