THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, April 2004 ... Benchmark Hospitality has appointed
Kenneth Owen Gerhardt director of food & beverage for The Georgian
Terrace Hotel, an historic property featuring 319 suites, located in the
heart of Atlanta's burgeoning Midtown district. Roy Young, managing
director, made the announcement.
| An experienced hotelier, Mr. Gerhardt
brings two decades of food & beverage expertise to his new role
at the landmark Georgian Terrace Hotel. Previously, he was director
of food & beverage at Bald Head Island Resort, Bald Head Island, North
Carolina, which was at the time managed by Benchmark. While on Bald
Head Island, Gerhardt also managed a 14,000-square-foot full service grocery
store operation, in addition to his food & beverage responsibilities.
Prior to this, Ken Gerhardt was director of operations at the signature
Kiawah Island Resort off the coast of South Carolina, which included overseeing

beverage department. Gerhardt also served in positions of increasing
responsibility at The American Club of Kohler, Wisconsin, as well as Westin
and Inter-Continental Hotels, located in Hilton Head and San Diego.
Built in 1911 at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue
in Midtown Atlanta, The Georgian Terrace ( www.thegeorgianterrace.com )
is one of the city's most distinguished hotels, and is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places. The property features 319 suites, a
state-of-the-art conference center, stunning rooftop pool, health club,
and two restaurants. The spacious guest suites are elegantly
furnished with mahogany vanities and fully equipped kitchens. In
