Holds Inaugural 'Best in Class' Awards Celebration

BETHESDA, Md., May 4, 2004 - Host Marriott Corporation (NYSE: HMT) today announced that it launched its inaugural "Best in Class" awards banquet at The Ritz-Carlton, in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. The event celebrated the dedication, excellence, operational and financial success of Host Marriott's 112 multi-branded hotel general managers in 2003.
