Michael Tatro and Steve Cross Appointed to Vice President Positions with Marshall Management, Inc.

SALISBURY, Md., June 2, 2003 � Marshall Management, Inc., a leading mid-sized management company, today announced that it has added to its management team bench strength to support the company�s recent and planned future growth.  Michael Tatro has been promoted to vice president-operations support, and Steve Cross has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing. 
 
�We have added 10 new management contracts since the beginning of 2003 and expect to add five to 10 more this year,� said Michael Marshall, president of Marshall Management.  �Mike and Steve bring nearly 40 years of operations and marketing experience to our senior management team and give us the added senior level depth and expertise to comfortably accommodate our growth plans.�

Tatro joined Marshall Management in 1989 as a general manager.  During his tenure with the company he has held a number of general manager and other senior management positions.  Previously, he spent 17 years with Holiday Inns of America operating a number of properties, including large convention and corporate hotels in the Northeast.  His background includes managing mid-market and upscale independent resorts, as well as managing major turnaround projects.

He will be responsible for coordinating the operations at many of the company hotels,

including budgeting and staffing.  Tatro holds a BA degree in Hotel/Resort Tourism from New Hampshire College.

Stephen Cross joins Marshall Management with more than 12 years hospitality experience.  He formerly was in regional operations with Hudson Hotels, overseeing a variety of full-service and limited-service brands, including Marriott, Hilton, InterContinental, Choice, Accor and USFS. 

In his new position, Cross will provide property-level sales and marketing support, training and leadership.  He will create annual marketing plans and implementation strategies, develop pricing strategies, identify and pursue target accounts and oversee revenue management.

�In addition to a solid understanding of marketing, Steve brings significant experience in operations,� Marshall noted.  �Unifying these two critical disciplines will significantly enhance our marketing capabilities.� 

Cross holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a MBA from Elon University.  He holds a Certified MBA designation and is a member of the Association of Certified MBAs, Sigma Beta Delta, an international Business Honor Society, and a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.  He is a former school board member of Blessed Sacrament School.
