Hyatt International Appoints Peter Stettler to Vice President - Indonesia and Chris Koehler to General Manager
of Grand Hyatt Beijing

Chicago, IL, June 3, 2004 - Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, is pleased to announce the following executive appointments:

Peter Stettler has been appointed area vice president - Indonesia.  Stettler, who retains his role as general manager for Grand Hyatt Jakarta, is a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel School.  He joined Hyatt International in August1982 as assistant director of food and beverage at Bali Hyatt.  Following a promotion in Bali to director of food and beverage in February 1983 and subsequent appointments as executive assistant manager - food and beverage in Kota Kinabalu and Saujana, he was promoted to general manager of Hyatt Regency Cheju in October 1987.  In June 1990, Stettler was appointed general manager of Grand Hyatt Bali where he was given additional responsibility for Indonesia in October 1992, and to his present position of General Manager for Grand Hyatt Jakarta in April 2000.

Chris Koehler has been appointed general manager of Grand Hyatt Beijing.  Koehler, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, consolidated his studies with culinary assignments in New York, Maui and Pusan.  He joined the team of Hyatt Regency Manila as executive chef in January 1988, and following further assignments as executive chef and director of food and beverage in Taipei he was appointed executive assistant manager - food and beverage of Hyatt Regency Osaka in December 1994.  In February 1998, Koehler transferred to Grand Hyatt Shanghai as executive assistant manager - food and beverage where he was promoted to resident manager in April 2000, and to his most recent position of manager in January 2003.

There are 210 Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world, which are managed by two separate groups of companies.  Subsidiaries of Hyatt International Corporation operate, manage or franchise 88 hotels and resorts in 38 countries, with an additional 21 hotels under development.  Hyatt Corporation, a separate company, and its subsidiaries operate, manage, franchise or lease 122 hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
