Automates Management of Corporate Clients

 
Hong Kong, 8 June 2004 -- Panda Hotel has announced the adoption of an automated system of online contracting to manage their network of corporate clients. A component feature of the Pelican online reservation system, online contracting is intended to reduce dependence on manual administration for corporate bookings in the 1,026 rooms hotel. 

The online-contracting feature allows the hotel to set and adjust seasonal rates and room allotments for single clients, and to create grouping of clients with similar privileges and access to information. Contracted clients access the system through the Panda hotel’s own website, and the hotel is free to set and adjust all parameters at will. Pre-authorized clients are able to book online with their own negotiated rates, receiving instant confirmation. The “real-time” operation of online contracting allows hotels to share room allotments among large numbers of agents and clients on a “first-come, first-served” basis. 

With Pelican’s online-contracting feature the hotel can easily set payment methods and credit privileges for each individual client. The system offers six different payment options: credit card online payment, credit card guarantee, prepayment, credit facilities, floating deposit and commission. Options available to each client – which may change if, for example, an additional booking exceeds the pre-set credit limit – are listed on each reservation page.
