Linda Norman and Lynn Ericksen Appointed to
General Manager Posts for Hilton

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 2, 2004 -- Linda Norman has been named general manager of the AAA Four-Diamond Hilton Los Angeles North/Glendale & Executive Meeting Center and Lynn Ericksen has been named general manager of the 219- room Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa. 

Linda Norman most recently served as general manager of the Doubletree Guest Suites Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida.   She will report to Glenn Hale, area vice president, Los Angeles/Orange County/San Diego for the company.

Norman began her career as assistant front office manager at the Guest Quarter Suites in Boston, Massachusetts; she became front office manager of the property in 1991.  In 1992 she joined the Doubletree Guest Suites Atlanta as suites division manager, before becoming assistant general manager of the Doubletree Guest Suites New York/Times Square.  She was promoted to general manager of the Tampa Bay property in 1996.

A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Norman received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Duke University.  She is the past chairman of the Board of the Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors' Bureau and also served as president of the Hillsborough County Hotel and Motel Association.  She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Services Foundation and the Museum of Science and Industry and has been a volunteer with the sickle cell program at the Children's Cancer Center for the past three years.

Lynn Ericksen most recently served as general manager of the Hotel @ MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a Hilton managed property.   He reports to Ben Fusco, area vice president Hilton Resorts - Arizona for Hilton Hotels Corporation.

A 21-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Ericksen began his career in management at several Red Lion Hotels before joining the Doubletree Hotel Ontario in 1985 as general manager.  From 1986 - 1999, he served as general manager of the Red Lion's Sacramento Inn, the Doubletree Hotel Spokane City Center and the Sheraton Hotel Station Square in Pittsburgh, before joining the Hotel @ MIT in 1999.

A native of Iowa, Ericksen is a member of the MLA Legislative Affairs Committee and has served in the following capacities: Board Member of Spokane Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Trustee of Spokane Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of Spokane Public Facilities District. He is a past chair of the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau and President of the Sacramento Hotel Association. Ericksen also served as Co-Chair of the California Hotel and Motel Association Governmental Affairs Committee and Commissioner of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.
